This is a blog about myself, my art and my life. It may also include comments about comics, music, tv, movies, or whatever nonsense may come to mind. I must note that I have original art and prints available for sale, and I am also available for hire for commission work. Portraits can be a great gift, be it family, friends, or of someone's favorite singer or actor.

Current work in progress
I haven't really been wanting to draw or paint lately. I have a lot of stacked up artwork that's going nowhere, and no commission work or sales. But I did feel like just doing some watercolor portraits of comic book characters. This one's a work in progress I just started today, about half an hour in. Still working on it and not using any reference material:
After seeing the photograph of it, I see that I've got quite a bit of work to do.

Public Popeye
I'm taking a break from working on the Popeye comic, and right now I'm working on a watercolor sketch of...Popeye! With the original version of popeye (which was created in 1929 by E.C. Segar in his comic strip "Thimble Theater") having joined the ranks of public domain, I've been fixated on doing something about that somehow. This is a picture that I am dabbling with of a kind of comic book style/ semi-realistic style of Popeye from 1929.
