It's with heavy heart that I announce that word is Jack Nicholson is retiring from acting. I have been a huge fan of him and his work since my dad introduced me to "The Shining" and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", and even before that with, of course, 1989's BATMAN.
I realize he has been acting for 60 years, and owes us nothing, but it doesn't stop me from being heartbroken. If I had the talent and memory to act, it would be because of Jack Nicholson.
I've been drawing him since I was a teenager, and will continue to do so. I have a great deal of respect for the man, and the legend.
(I'm still a hopeless dreamer, as I still dream of meeting him and giving him a drawing or painting).

Should I or Shouldn't I?

I'm considering entering ArtPrize, the art competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I, however, have not the entrance fee nor the funds to mat and/or frame anything for it. But, if I do enter, one of these two pieces will be the one. They're roughly the same size (36"x48") and both tributes to Jack Nicholson.

Anger Managed

I haven't posted this painting because I don't want to show EVERYTHING I've done online so there'd be some unseen artwork in the studio or art shows. But, I really like this painting (which is bigger than 36"x48") and it's one of the most popular pieces in my studio. It's an oil painting of Jack Nicholson, titled "Anger Managed".
