POPEYE'S 90!!!! Olive's 100!!! (well, December 18th, 2019)

Much like the Stan Lee January long tribute, I created a drawing challenge in honor of Popeye's 90th anniversary (1/17/2019) and Olive Oyl's 100th anniversary (12/18/2019)!!!! Each day in January, up to and including January 17th, you draw a suggested Popeye character, post it on social media and tag it with #2019PopeyeChallenge and #Popeye90! It's a way to spread word about the celebration of these LEGENDS!!!!

This would be a dream come true for me: Popeye and Groo crossover. It will never happen, so I entertain myself with these little scenes (I actually had, or have, a story mapped out where they WOULD crossover).

Payin' tribute

Here's my tribute to the Justice League, using Popeye and gang. I added the first appearance of the Justice League of America in "The Brave and the Bold" #26 in 1960. The Thimble Theatre characters, of course, originated in 1919 by E.C. Segar.
