A dream come true

When I went to Chester, Illinois and visited the Spinach Can Collectables and Popeye Museum, I was in heaven (well, heaven would be a Popeye and Groo Museum). And then I found this.
I had this coloring book when I was 4 years old and had it until I was 14. I used to draw the pictures from this coloring book, building my love of drawing and Popeye. This book, and a few Popeye Little Big Books, taught me how to draw. I now have all the books I had as a kid that inspired me to draw.I

It's Good To Be The King

It's been awhile since I've painted a portrait, and I decided to make one of comedy legend Mel Brooks.
His movies and appearances have been a staple in my life, shaping my sense of humor and just bringing me great escapist entertainment.
The painting isn't done yet, but here's the work in progress. (REMEMBER: I'm not done with it, so corrections need to be made!)
