Aragones draws Nuttall!!

This is one of the highlights of my life! Ignore my talk about my nose, though. Nervousness and giddyness cause me to make stupid comments. This is my lifelong hero drawing...me! AND GROO! AND SERGIO!!

Comic Book Greats Sergio Aragones pt. 4

This is from a series that Stan Lee had done in the 1990s that I was unfortunately unaware of. It's just fantastic to me.

Sergio Aragones.m4v

I just found this short documentary from 1991 of The moustachioed Maestro Sergio Aragones`, speaking mainly about the comic book GROO THE WANDERER, then with Marvel Comics.

Slow news day

Barry Stutesman of Michigan Magazine Michigan Magazine visited the studio today and interviewed me and shot footage of the studio. I think it went pretty well. I'll keep you posted when it airs, where it airs and who knows, I might have a viewing party at the studio (there's plenty of food left over from my Customer Appreciation party, after all)

Ringing in the New Year

Well, with the new year, I thought I'd post the first drawing of 2011, the first completed painting of 2011 and the first project of 2011.
The John Wayne is a charcoal that's not quite done for a commission. It's 18x24. The Sammy Hagar oil painting is also 18x24 and is also a commission piece. The final is the first oil painting I've started this year. It's 20x30 (I think).

"I intend on killing you in one minute, Ned!"

How do I NOT have this drawing posted??? It's in the studio now. It's a graphite tribute to one of my favorite scenes in the ORIGINAL "True Grit", hence the title "Fill Yer Hands...". It's about 18x24. I realize upon loading the drawing that this photo of it is cropped a bit.
